The Social presents: COMEDY CLUB – November 5th
In our very first Friday night Comedy Club, we bring you 3 special and hilarious talents:
First up, our master of ceremonies for the evening:
Tim has been a Stand-up comic for most of his adult life, and still does over two hundred shows each year.
He has appeared all over Europe, the Far East, the Middle East, and most recently at the Mumbai Comedy Store. He is resident host of British Stand-Up in Bergen, Norway.
On TV he was host of the classic game show Give Us A Clue (BBC 1); the sporting chat show Under The Moon (Channel 4); as well as scores of appearances on various stand-up and panel shows.
Goofy and peculiar, Stephanie Laing’s comedy is partway between the needy oddness of Maria Bamford and the upbeat affability of Josie Long. Her material is a mix of silliness, filth and unusual observations, underpinned by a disarming honesty which makes her seem charmingly vulnerable.
Stephanie started performing in April 2007 on the Scottish comedy circuit. She had shows at the Edinburgh Festival in 2014 and 2015, and has performed at The Stand, The Comedy Store, The Comedy Cafe, Crack Comedy, Downstairs at The King’s Head, Mirth Control, Hilarity Bites, Eminent Banter and XS Malarkey, among others. She was a finalist in the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2015. She is now based in Manchester.
Colin Cole is literally one of the biggest names in comedy in Australia – not only is he 6′ 7″, he is also known for his hugely dynamic performance. His delivery is fast and furious, and his material ranges from the topical to the observational.
As well as comedy, Colin Cole has been an actor for many years, and in this field he is known for his versatility and he is a very much sought-after performer.
Colin Cole’s comedy TV credits read like a “‘guide to Australian Television” they include hit shows such as ‘Hey Hey’, ‘The Max Gillies Show’ and ‘Bingles’.
He has toured extensively in the US, Canada and Hawaii, and now he’s also taking the UK by storm. He’s been described by The New York Times as “One of the most exciting performers to come out of Australia..”.
We cannot wait for this one. It’s gonna be a huge night followed with music to keep everyone in high spirits.
See you soon.
